Identification and Annotation of Discourse Relations in Spoken Language

Results:

The workshop on 'Identification and Annotation of Discourse Relations in Spoken Language' brought together researchers from different areas working on discourse annotation in spoken language and in spoken-like text types. We had valuable contributions followed up by fruitful discussion. The presentations (as posters) and abstracts of the contributions in the workshop program are available here:

We also think that this special interest group needs more interaction with WG2+3, as the annotation categories missing in the existing schemes (but essential for spoken language) should be considered in the work on interoperable schemes. Moreover, interaction with WG4 is important.
